That certainly didn’t take long. Shortly after becoming the latest ambassador for Audemars Piguet, golf wunderkind Danny Willett won the Omega European Masters in Crans-Montana. The young golfer recorded a boogey-free round of 65 on Sunday and finished the tournament with a score of 263, one shot ahead of former US Amateur Champion Matthew Fitzpatrick.

Willett has found great success during this year’s European Tour. Previously, he won the opening event of the tournament, the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.

“Two wins and good performances in Majors and World Golf Championships is more than I could have hoped for, but I have worked really hard so it is nice to get the rewards for it,” said Willett

Thanks to his efforts in Switzerland, the home of luxury watchmaking, Willett reaches a career-high of 24th in the Official Golf World Rankings, moving him to second place in The Race to Dubai behind Omega ambassador Rory McIlroy.

Along with the check, trophy, and signature red champions jacket, Willett was also awarded with an OMEGA Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial.

Danny Willett is part of the Audemars Piguet golf ambassadors Dream Team composed of Keegan Bradley, Bud Cauley, Darren Clarke, Victor Dubuisson, Sir Nick Faldo, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Louis Oosthuizen, Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson, Peter Uihlein, Lee Westwood and Bernd Wiesberger.
