Luxury watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne is helping the iconic designer Ralph Lauren celebrate his “Best of Show” automobile prize. Lauren was awarded the prize in Como, where Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid also awarded him a special model of the LANGE 1 TIME ZONE crafted exclusively to celebrate the designer’s award-winning Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic Coupé (which featured a coachwork from Jean Bugatti built in 1938).

The watch was presented to Lauren at a gala dinner at Villa d’Este, the venue of the Concorso d’Eleganza (one of the most exclusive events dedicated to historic automobiles and concept cars). The LANGE 1 TIME ZONE is a fitting prize for the jet-setting Lauren, with two time zones representing the art of travelling in style. The caseback of the white-gold watch displays the hand-engraved coat of arms of the Concorso d’Eleganza, while Como represents Central European Time on the rotatable city ring.
This is the second year A. Lange & Söhne has been a sponsor of the “Festival of Beauty” which takes place on the shoreline of Lake Como.
