Renowned watchmaker Maîtres du Temps revealed a couple of stunning new designs at this year’s Baselworld, and they’re upping the stakes for 2012.
First: the Chapter Three Reveal. Kari Voutilainen and Andreas Strehler created this elegant and sumptuous timepiece. A blue guilloche dial is the backdrop for a small seconds hand at 8 o’clock, date at 2 o’clock and moon phase at 4 o’clock. Two hidden panels in the dial hide Maîtres du Temps’ signature rollers with second time zone indicator and day/night indicator.
Next: Chapter Two TCR–Triple Calendar Round. From the hands of Daniel Roth and Peter Speake Marin comes an innovative design that seamlessly marries casual and chic. Think impeccable construction and signature skill; clean lines make the hour, minute and second indications easy to read. A window showcasing date, month and day of the week on rollers makes this triple calendar piece easy to maneuver.
It’s safe to say that Maîtres du Temps impressed audiences and customers at their seventh year at Basel.
