Jacob & Co. Celebrates the Grand Opening of its Dubai Boutique with Glitter and Glow

You can count on Jacob & Co. to create sparkles for the official opening of its first store in the Middle East, and that’s what it did last Friday in Dubai. Currently one of the fastest growing markets for this brand known for its ground-breaking timepieces and jaw-dropping jewellery collections, the region now boasts the second Jacob & Co. flagship store in the world, after New York City.

Located on Level One of the prestigious Mall of the Emirates, the boutique shows off the company’s new visual identity with elaborate and elegant interiors: lacquered precious wood, silk beige fabrics, and an art deco inspiration discreetly enhance the outstanding and bold designs of the watch and jewellery creations on display.

Welcoming guests to the Mall for the ribbon cutting ceremony, Founder and Chairman Jacob Arabo spoke of “the breakthrough in the watch and jewellery industry since the brand’s relaunch in 2013… from the Astronomia Gravitational Triple Axis Tourbillon and the Billionaire watch… to the Epic SF24 and the Rare Touch glove, which has been worn by many mega celebrities and superstars, and many more…” concluding that “Now is the perfect time for the brand to be featured under the spotlight of the UAE stage.”

The boutique is already bursting with exceptional pieces, and the awe-inspiring Astronomia Sky, launched just one month ago at Baselworld, is expected for October 2016, along with the Twin Turbo Minute Repeater with Two Triple Axis Tourbillons and Cathedral Gong. Among the ladies’ collections, ‘Arlequino’, in the store now, will soon be joined by ‘Titanium Glam’.

Arabo’s long-time friend Flavio Briatore , holder of the Billionaire trademark, was on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony that was followed by the opening of The Billionaire Mansion in downtown Dubai. The two men had partnered for the creation of the incredible Billionaire Watch last year, the diamond emerald- cut Tourbillon Watch with 239 diamonds for a total weight of 260 carats. Jacob & Co. launched the exciting new venue with a celebration fit for a Billionaire, with an exclusive New-York style dinner for global A-listers, surrounded by diamond and precious stone jewellery and fine timepieces on display.

Jacob & Co. plans to debut limited special watch collections boasting the UAE colours in the near future.

Further expansion across other markets is planned in the upcoming months.
