The Short Answer

As Miami Beach Marina is all abuzz, readying for the grand opening of The Ferretti Group’s sales center, there is one more debut to get excited about: the unveiling of Ulysse Nardin’s Schooner timepiece at the event.

As Miami Beach Marina is all abuzz, readying for the grand opening of The Ferretti Group’s sales center, there is one more debut to get excited about: the unveiling of Ulysse Nardin’s Schooner timepiece at the event. The watch, was inspired by a schooner named “America” which won the first America’s Cup challenge in 1851. Only 50 of these watches will be made, which are coated with navy blue rubber and water resistant up to 200 meters.

“There is a level of precision and detail that is unprecedented in watchmaking when it comes to the way Ulysse Nardin manufactures its timepieces,” said Nelson Lucero, vice president of sales and marketing for Ulysse Nardin. “We strive for excellence in our invention and innovation, both of which the Schooner timepiece embodies. We are confident marine and timepiece aficionados will embrace the intricate details of the watch.” In other words, the $15,000 watch is a perfect accessory to buy along with one of the sexy yachts that will be on offer at Thursday night’s private event. Aye, aye captain!
