Celebrity gossip website TMZ is reporting that the late James Gandolfini was the target of a watch theft. Gandolfini tragically passed away in June after suffering a heart attack while vacationing in Rome, and according to TMZ the late actor’s Rolex Submariner was stolen within hours.

TMZ obtained a copy of an insurance form filed by the actor’s family which alleges that Gandolfini’s $3,000 Rolex was stolen from his hotel room. The insurance form says there was no damage to the room and there’s no mention of forced entry.

Gandolfini famously wore a Rolex Day-Date in his role as mob boss Tony Soprano in HBO’s Sopranos.
