At the heart of the DB25xs Sand Winds is an extraordinary titanium dial that immediately sets the watch apart. Using two exclusive finishing techniques developed by De Bethune, random guilloché and natural oxidative heat treatment, the brand has created a radiant yellow surface that mirrors the flowing ripples formed by winds across expansive sand dunes. As light moves across the dial, the intricate texture produces a captivating shimmer that gives the watch a constantly changing appearance while remaining refined and elegant.

The warm golden tones continue throughout the design with polished yellow titanium hands and matching hour markers that complement the dial beautifully. White gold inserts introduce subtle highlights that enhance both readability and visual depth. The harmonious color palette creates a sophisticated aesthetic that feels timeless while remaining unmistakably modern, making the DB25xs Sand Winds equally appealing to seasoned collectors and newcomers to independent luxury watchmaking.

Encasing this artistic display is the signature round DB25 case, crafted from lightweight grade 5 titanium. Measuring 40 millimeters in diameter, the case combines elegant proportions with exceptional comfort. The collection’s distinctive hollowed, tapered lugs are carefully designed to provide an ergonomic fit across a wide range of wrist sizes, while the hand-polished titanium construction ensures durability without unnecessary weight. The result is a luxury watch that feels remarkably comfortable throughout the day.

A sapphire crystal with anti-glare treatment on both sides protects the dial, while the transparent caseback offers a clear view of the manually wound Caliber DB2005. Beautifully decorated with De Bethune’s signature Côtes de Bethune finishing and polished blued steel components, the movement reflects the brand’s dedication to both aesthetics and precision engineering. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it incorporates several proprietary innovations, including a titanium balance wheel with white-gold inserts, a balance spring with a flat terminal curve, a triple-pare chute shock-absorbing system, and a silicon wheel. These advanced technologies work together to improve stability, accuracy, and long-term reliability.

The movement is powered by a self-regulating twin barrel system that delivers an impressive six-day power reserve, allowing the watch to maintain consistent performance for nearly a full week between windings. This combination of traditional hand finishing and contemporary mechanical innovation continues to distinguish De Bethune as one of the leading independent names in Swiss luxury watchmaking.

Completing the timepiece is a supple brown alligator leather strap paired with a polished titanium pin buckle. The luxurious materials, lightweight construction, and refined finishing make the DB25xs Sand Winds suitable for both everyday wear and formal occasions. Every detail reflects the meticulous craftsmanship synonymous with the De Bethune name.

The De Bethune DB25xs Sand Winds joins the brand’s collection with a retail price of CHF 70,000, approximately USD 85,000.

By transforming the shifting beauty of desert landscapes into a mechanical work of art, the De Bethune DB25xs Sand Winds demonstrates that fine watchmaking is about far more than telling time. It is a celebration of creativity, engineering, and enduring craftsmanship that reinforces De Bethune’s reputation as one of the world’s most innovative independent watchmakers.
