De Bethune just introduced the DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon, a vibrant limited edition of just 20 pieces, merging the refined elegance of the DB28XP with the mesmerizing allure of the DB28 Kind of Blue Tourbillon. This extraordinary timepiece is the brainchild of Denis Flageollet, who envisioned the DB28XP as an ultra-thin watch that balances technical prowess with aesthetic beauty.

The DB28XP Kind of Blue is a natural evolution, combining the sleek design of the DB28XP with the captivating blue tones of the DB28 Kind of Blue. The result is a watch that showcases De Bethune’s signature craftsmanship and innovation. The dial, crafted from blued titanium, offers a stunning interplay of light and shadow, creating a dynamic and architectural aesthetic. The deep, luminous blue hue is achieved through natural oxidation, making each piece a unique work of art.

The dial features a Microlight design, modernizing the traditional guilloché technique and enhancing the structure with depth and contemporary appeal. De Bethune’s pursuit of ultra-thin watches began in 2020 with the DB28XP, celebrating a decade of mechanical and aesthetic research. The DB28XP Kind of Blue embodies this journey, representing the complexity and elegance of slimness.

A standout feature of this timepiece is its tourbillon, renowned for its lightweight construction and rapid rotation. Weighing a mere 0.18 grams, the tourbillon cage is the lightest ever created, rotating every thirty seconds with a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour. This innovative design ensures the tourbillon functions optimally, counteracting the kinetic forces experienced by wristwatches today. The futuristic tourbillon bridge symmetrically supports the mechanism, enhancing both its performance and visual appeal.
