It looks like she’s already starting to bring some of the magic back to the brand’s main manufacturing building. Cartier’s triples the fun this Christmas, with three gift to its collectors, packaged into one. Here’s what is waiting for them inside:

A magical complication, the mysterious hours is a specialty of Cartier. Made famous by the mystery clocks developed by Cartier early on, the floating mechanism was revisited in 2013 to house a double tourbillon. The new feature adds movement to the watch, rotating on itself every 60 seconds, and performing a complete revolution every five minutes.

Cartier combines a minute repeater and a flying tourbillon; two of the most celebrated complications, into one timepiece powered by the in-house calibre 9402 MC. The gongs and hammers are displayed on the dial side at 6 o’clock, and produce a wonderful melody thanks to the titanium construction of the watch.

In case you missed you, 2015 is very much the year of the perpetual calendar. From Audemars Piguet to Hermès, watch brands have presented some wonderful examples recently, but none quite like the Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Astrocalendaire. Arranged in concentric tiers, the three-dimensional display of the perpetual calendar’s functions – indicated by discreet apertures – adds depth to the watch, while a flying tourbillon brings the watch to life.
