Miami Design District is the melting pot of the city’s innovative fashion, design, architecture and dining experience. Its mixture of sophistication and trendy ambiance is what makes this area such a staple place to visit. Celebrating the district’s richness in versatility,  Reel Creative Cinema is hosting a weekend-long film festival on August 5-7 honoring the various creative realms throughout the area.

Closing out the special film festival, Mesure et Démesure allows viewers to step into the world of Parmigiani Fleurier as the film takes them on a behind the scenes journey of the renowned Swiss watchmaking brand. Told from the viewpoint of the brand’s watchmakers and artisans, this is a compelling story about the company’s hard-work, passion and perseverance.

Catered to both men and women, all of Parmigiani watches are hand-made with production hours surpassing 400 hours per piece. Award-winning collections and single watches, most notable “Watch of The Year” for the Bugatti 370 and revolutionary concepts are some of the reasons this watch brand has taken the industry by storm.

With an artisan background himself, Director Frédéric Laffont is able to capture the working hands and minds of Parmigiani Fleurier watchmakers through an uncluttered perspective. Previously screened privately throughout the world and most recently in New York City, Parmigiani will host an intimate brunch in celebration of the film’s debut in Miami.

Other notable premieres at the festival will be Frames of Life for Giorgio Armani and Tampopo for Michael Schwartz and Genuine Hospitality Group, amongst others.
