Baselworld—the World Watch and Jewelry Show—opens its doors in just eight short weeks. On March 8, Basel, Switzerland will host around 1800 companies from the watch, jewelry and precious stone industries as they showcase their newest developments and innovations.

Mira will debut its first ladies collection. The Fée Céleste sparkles with 166 diamonds and tells a love story through imagery. A swan floats on a mother-of-pearl and black aventurine lake, waiting for its companion. Combined with pink gold, the beauty of the swan’s plumage is accentuated. The passing of time is symbolized by the off-center hours at 12 o’clock and the retrograde minutes at 6 o’clock.

Emile Chouriet presents The Wings of Time, a creation based on the desire of man to fly by himself. Two pairs of falcon wings, the brand’s emblem, replace the traditional horns on the watch. Besides emphasizing the transience of time, they form the heart of every Emily Chouriet timepiece, lending a touch of symbolism and mystery.
