Discover the Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition, a limited-edition timepiece just ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.

Just ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, Girard-Perregaux and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team have collaborated on a new timepiece: the Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition. Designed to embody the precision and performance of motorsport, this limited-edition timepiece combines cutting-edge materials with the timeless artistry of Swiss watchmaking. With only 88 pieces available worldwide, it is a rare collector’s item for those who appreciate both luxury and innovation.

The watch features a robust yet lightweight 44mm case crafted from Grade 5 titanium. This high-performance material, frequently used in both Formula One and Haute Horlogerie, is known for its exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and hypoallergenic properties. Sandblasting enhances the case’s texture, giving it a refined, matte finish that highlights its contemporary appeal.

Aston Martin Racing Green adorns the dial, reinforcing the connection to the legendary British automaker. The hour and minute hands, partially open-worked, take inspiration from Aston Martin’s signature front grille design, found on models such as the DB12.

These hands, along with the applied hour markers, are coated with luminescent material to ensure optimal legibility in low-light conditions. Adding a distinctive motorsport touch, the central seconds hand and date display are accented in lime green, echoing the vibrant highlights seen on Aston Martin’s Formula One cars.

True to the Laureato lineage, the case design masterfully balances contrasting shapes and textures, creating a timepiece that is both dynamic and elegant. The titanium caseback features an engraving of the Aston Martin emblem, further cementing the watch’s exclusivity and racing heritage. Water-resistant up to 300 meters, this watch is not only a statement piece but also a practical choice for those who demand reliability in extreme conditions.

Inside, the watch is powered by Girard-Perregaux’s in-house GP03300-1060 movement, a self-winding mechanical caliber renowned for its precision and craftsmanship. Manufactured in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, this movement is composed of 218 meticulously assembled components and features 27 jewels.

Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it offers a power reserve of at least 46 hours. The oscillating weight is adorned with a circular Côtes de Genève motif, while additional refinements such as straight Côtes de Genève on the bridges, bevelling, and mirror-polished screws showcase the brand’s unwavering commitment to detail.

The Laureato collection has a distinguished history, dating back to the 1970s when Girard-Perregaux introduced its first luxury sports watch with an integrated bracelet. Unlike many competitors who rely on outsourced movements, Girard-Perregaux has always maintained complete creative control, ensuring that every timepiece upholds the highest standards of watchmaking excellence. Over the years, the Laureato has evolved through various materials, dial colors, and complications, with this latest edition representing a bold fusion of tradition and modernity.

Aston Martin’s racing heritage stretches back over a century, with its first Grand Prix appearance in 1922 and an outright victory at Le Mans in 1959. The brand’s return to Formula One in 2021 under Lawrence Stroll’s leadership marked a new era of high-performance innovation.

The team has since made significant investments in advanced technology, including the construction of a cutting-edge wind tunnel set to become operational in 2025. This spirit of progress and engineering excellence is reflected in the Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition, a watch designed for those who live life at full speed.

Beyond motorsport, Aston Martin remains committed to sustainability, innovation, and precision engineering—values that align seamlessly with Girard-Perregaux’s dedication to horological mastery. This partnership is a celebration of craftsmanship, technology, and passion, redefining what it means to wear a timepiece inspired by performance.

The Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition is not just a watch—it is a statement of ambition, excellence, and the relentless pursuit of perfection. With only 88 pieces available worldwide, it is an extraordinary blend of high-performance materials, refined aesthetics, and mechanical ingenuity, destined for those who appreciate the art of fine watchmaking.
