Hot on the heels of its Hommage Minute Repeater – the first minute repeater wristwatch with a mechanism built entirely in the German watchmaking town of Glashütte – Tutima introduced a new classic model in its Patria collection based on the design of the Minute repeater at the Couture Show in Las Vegas this week. While the repeater contained in-house caliber 800, the new Patria contains the new in-house caliber 617, which is derived from the 800. Both movements incorporate elements intrinsic to German watchmaking, including a sturdy three-quarter plate, and engraved components. Like the repeater, the new Patria Small Seconds is executed in rose gold, and has a case and lugs made out of a solid block of gold.
