Exciting news from Hublot, as they welcome tennis ace Novak Djokovic into the family. Born in 1987, in the now Serbian city of Belgrade, he started to play tennis from the age of 4 and hasn’t stopped since. After turning pro, he quickly worked his way up the ranks of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), where he currently has a firm hold of the No.1 position. He is very comfortable with this place, as he has already been there for over 337 weeks.

As one of the most accomplished players in the history of tennis, he has won 85 singles titles on the ATP circuit, including 20 Grand Slams, 5 Masters, and 36 Masters 1000 tournaments. He is known for his powerful play, being able to counter balls few others can, and keep rallies going until he has secured a win.

As Djokovic puts it himself: “As an athlete-driven by the ambition to make history in tennis, I am particularly proud of the opportunity to join the Hublot family, which already boasts athletes who have left their mark on their respective disciplines by becoming legends like Pelé or Usain Bolt. With Hublot, we still have so much to win, together!” His passion for sports and performance is shared by Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe “We are particularly honored to have the great Novak Djokovic join our beautiful Hublot family. He is a player who makes tennis history by being unique, first and different, which is exactly our motto. It’s a great day for Hublot!”

With Djokovic as part of the Hublot family, it is likely that he also will get involved with developing some new models with tennis in mind. That way, he will leave his mark on the brand he partnered with like so many other Hublot brand ambassadors did as well. Making even more history might also be right around the corner, as Djokovic starts today at the US Open. This gives him a chance to secure his 21st Grand Slam title, breaking the all-time record.
