Ulysse Nardin Unites Form And Function In The Executive Skeleton X Collection
At Ulysse Nardin, they write innovation in capital letters. What makes the brand so interesting is that they not only apply this philosophy on their movements but many of their designs as well. A perfect example of this is Executive Skeleton X. Traditionally are skeleton watches dominated by their movement for obvious reasons, but Ulysse Nardin has found a way to unite this aspect with an equally enticing case. More so, their design even incorporates a skeletonized dial, that hides hardly anything but does add a nice dose of functionality to the mix.

Talking Innovation With Ulysse Nardin’s Stéphane von Gunten
There are progressive brands, and then there is Ulysse Nardin. While it is, in essence, a classic manufacture, it uses the Swiss watchmaking tradition as a foundation to innovate and push the envelope. This has resulted not only in many progressive watches, with equally innovative movements, but also in introducing new materials in the world of watchmaking. Haute Time sat down with Stéphane von Gunten, Ulysse Nardin's Research and Innovation Director, to discuss the latest developments.
Punchy Petites: Smaller Versions of Well-Known Luxury Watches
For those of us with slender wrists, there has been a welcomed trend in the luxury watch space towards smaller timepieces. When wristwatches first became a thing at the turn of the 20th Century, they were small. However, as we approached the new millennium, watches gradually became larger and larger. Thankfully, some brands have caught on that not everyone can successfully pull-off oversized timepieces and have introduced smaller versions of well-known luxury watches. Daring Divers: Four Diving Watches For People With A Taste For The Extreme
Diving watches are often among the most robust creations of the watch world. The demands put on these watches are usually extreme, that is when you are a professional diver. For the amateur diver or people who don't dive at all, these features are often not needed to the extent that they are created. However, their impact on the look of the watch makes it that they have become, and remain, very popular. These four watches are perfect examples of extreme diving watches that also make a statement outside of the water.
Watch of the Week: Ulysse Nardin Freak X
The Freak is in many ways what Ulysse Nardin is all about: It is innovative in terms of design as well as technical execution. When the original version of the Freak was introduced in 2001, it was the very first watch in commercial production that used parts made from silicon. Because it is fitted with a flying carousel, those elements were also clearly visible. In the little under two decades that the Freak is now part of the Ulysse Nardin collection, the watch has evolved in many ways, with as latest addition the Freak X.

SIHH 2019 Day 2: To The Moon And Back
At any watch fair, there is always the risk that you start at a high and then it is all downwards from there. With the balanced additions to the Pilot-collection of IWC, the super sweet Richard Mille's and Jaeger-LeCoultre who showed once again their prowess when it comes to highly complicated watches with a fine finish, that danger is very real. However, this edition of SIHH that fear is misplaced as on the second day, things continued at a very high level.

Opened all your gifts, ate enough sweets and need a break from the Christmas carols? Then check out some stunning casebacks. The time that the back of a watch was nothing but a plain piece of metal is long gone. The vast majority of high-end watch brands now utilize the back of their watches to give you an insight into their technical capabilities.
