The New Tonda PF; Parmigiani’s Take On Contemporary Elegance
The biggest challenge for any watchmaker is to create a design that defies and defines time simultaneously. With their integrated bracelets, they wear like a piece of jewelry, oozing exclusivity in a more chic, restraint way.
Bold & Beautiful: Richard Mille’s New RM 65-01 Automatic Split Seconds Chronograph
One hallmark of Richard Mille is that he always likes to explore the boundaries of watchmaking and preferably push them a little bit further back. With the new RM 65-01, he did just that again. With over 600 components, is this one of the most complicated watches the brand has made to date. This is mainly thanks to the split-second chronograph, for which Mille reinvented the complication.
A. Lange & Söhne Presents Three Honey Sweet Delights
With three new creations is A. Lange & Söhne paying tribute to its founder, Ferdinand Adolph Lange, who founded the manufacture 175th year ago. All three watches are part of the 1815 collection, named after his birth year, and feature a honey-gold case. This has become a tradition of the unique “Homage to F. A. Lange” anniversary editions, as ten years ago, they did the same. Despite that they come from the same collection and share the same case material are all the three watches quite different in nature.
Meet A Rare Giant: Rolex Ref. 4113 ‘Split-Seconds’
Some vintage watches hold the power to elevate your heartbeat whenever you see it. Such a watch is the Rolex Ref.4113' Split-Seconds.' Made in extremely limited numbers, with the one featured in this article leaving the Rolex manufacture in 1942, in the midst of World War II, it is a watch unlike any other. Many things contribute to its unique character, starting with the diameter of its stainless steel case, which is 44mm. For a watch made in the mid-1940s, this is not large but huge.
SIHH 2019: What To Expect?
While many people are gearing up for the holidays, the watchworld is already preparing for the first big event of 2019; the SIHH. While only insiders of the participating brands know exactly what new products will be launched, by now, we can already tell what kind of year it is going to be. We can base this on two things: the pre-released watches, and the ones we already have all the details of, but cannot share yet due to an embargo.

For us an excellent excuse to have a closer look at the watch with which Parmigiani celebrated their 20th anniversary.

Haute Time’s Favorite Baselworld Watches: Part I
One way of sparking passionate debates in Haute Time's editorial department is to ask about putting together a list of the ten favorite watches from Baselworld. Some make a convincing case for the latest triple-axis tourbillon, while another thinks that a top ten is not complete without that gorgeous time-only. As personal and arbitrary as these lists are, they do give a good indication on where the watch world is currently standing, and which new watches made the biggest impressions.
#Throwbackthursday: Breitling Duograph owned by Formula One Champion Jack Brabham
Celebrity owned watches always seem to obtain a premium, especially when the watch itself is desirable as well. That was also the case of this Breitling Duograph, which was previous the property of three-times Formula One Champion Jack Brabham.
Haute Complication: A. Lange & Söhne Tourbograph Perpetual
By Martin Green
Lange & Söhne is one of those brands that knows that it pays to be patient. With a loyal base of knowledgeable watch connoisseurs as their main clients, they can probably sell out each year a new addition to their “Pour le Mérite” collection. Yet, they don't. In fact, the new Tourbograph Perpetual is only the fifth watch to be part of this exclusive collection since it was first launched in 1994. Back then it was the very first wristwatch to feature a fusée-and-chain transmission, something that we can also find in the new Tourbograph Perpetual.
