Roger Dubuis, Pirelli, Lamborghini: three iconic names in their respected fields that come together in a unique event. In the 'Run to Monaco', they are taking some of the world's most exclusive and exotic cars in an epic road trip through the south of France to the principality of Monaco. Last year Haute Time participated in this high-octane, high-speed event, driving a Lamborghini Aventador, of course, fitted with Pirelli tires.

The Salon Internationale de Haute Horlogerie, or SIHH, featured this year again a stunning line-up of the most beautiful watches. More then recent years the brands seem to be in touch with their own DNA, which resulted in a very pure watches that truly represented their brand, rather than just a trend. In such a company it is hard to call favorites, yet there where still some watches that grabbed our attention just a bit more than others.

2017 was a good year when it comes to watches. As we already discovered a few of Haute Time's favorite watches of this year in Part I, there were simply too many to put all in one article. That's, why in part II we showcase a few other favorites that have been released this year!

With the passing of Roger Dubuis, we lost somebody who has been a big influence on the world of the Haute Horlogerie. While the master himself was not as involved in the company that bears his name as in the past, in part due to the sale to Richemont in 2008, the foundation of complicated avant-garde watches is safely guarded in the DNA of the brand. With a brand like Roger Dubuis, which has so many incredible watches in its collection, it is hard to call favorites, but fun for sure!

Sant’Agata Bolognese, home of Lamborghini, was the place where the famous car manufacturer and Roger Dubuis announced that they joined forces. This is the start of a very powerful partnership, as the DNA of both brands is very similar. Lamborghini has made a name for itself with high-performance sports cars, which combine cutting-edge technology with expressive design. Roger Dubuis is the horological equivalent of this and proved this with the first two watches that were presented as part of this new alliance.
