This week, Swiss luxury watchmaker, Omega, unveiled its stunning new 2022 novelties with an intimate presentation. Perhaps one of the most striking pieces in the collection is the legendary Speedmaster Moonwatch in the brand’s exclusive Moonshine Gold. Created in 2019, the Moonshine Gold is an 18K yellow gold alloy, inspired by the deep moonlight in a dark blue sky. Omega’s 18K Moonshine Gold offers a distinctive paler hue than traditional 18K yellow gold and high resistance to fading color and luster over time. And, fitting to the name, Omega’s Speedmaster was the first watch ever to be worn on the moon.

Catapulting the timepiece into the modern era, the two new models: the 8K MoonshineTM Gold dial, black ceramic bezel ring and blackened subdials and indexes and the PVD green coated dial and a green ceramic bezel ring model. Powering both models is the legendary Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. Giving a true lunar glow, these two new models undoubtedly tell the incredible story of Omega’s dedication to adventure and the power of pushing beyond boundaries.
