Long before Game of Thrones or Homeland, Gandolfini ushered in a new era of powerhouse small-screen performances with his lead role in HBO’s mob opera The Sopranos. As mafia boss Tony Soprano, Gandolfini became perhaps the most beloved anti-hero ever, swaggering with gravitas across the badlands of New Jersey. In honor of Gandolfini’s legacy, today we’re looking back at the Rolex Day-Date President timepiece that became Tony Soprano’s trademark.
