Just weeks after celebrity Chef Heston Blumenthal’s opened The Perfectionists’ Café in Heathrow’s new £2.5bn Terminal Two, Harrods has unveiled a new Fine Watch Room primly located within the departures lounge.

This is the first time Harrods has extended the Fine Watch Room, which opened in late 2011, outside of its Knightsbridge flagship, but the new 1,700 sq ft space extends the store’s historic relationship with the finest timepieces and precious gems.

Curated by Harrods’ buying team, Terminal Two’s fine watch selection will reflect the exceptional collection of timepieces that can be found within The Fine Watch Room at Harrods. Over 30 brands will be carried, including Zenith, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, Chanel, Hublot and Chopard.

The luxurious surroundings feature black granite entrances, mosaic pathways of limestone with golden accents and a parquet floor combined with cylindrical glass tanks, elegant leather furniture, and contemporary lighting.

The extraordinary egg-shaped glass exterior will be accented with floor to ceiling display cases with black and gold metallic finishes. Key brands will have their own, full height display, while other will be displayed throughout the room in low level cabinets.

Clients who are keen to purchase timepieces will be received in a private consultation area, with screens and integrated displays to give them a private and intimate space.
