Cosmic Chronoswiss Debuts Inspired by the Transcendent Works of Gerd Lang
Despite having the deck stacked against him by quartz-driven hyperconsumerism and Swiss protectionism in the watch industry, the late, great thinker and artisan Gerd-Rüdiger Lang soldiered on.
Today, he is remembered for his well-made timepieces, his distinct Régulateur-style watches, and his precision chronographs—a complication he doted on even till his final years.
Chronoswiss, his brand that he had entrusted to Oliver and Eva Ebstein in 2012, continues to honor Lang’s endearing legacy, and has chosen to differentiate itself with iridescent colors, and Lang’s favored design codes like the onion crown and coin-edge bezel.

Lunar Chronograph Aurora
Teasing its admirer with a shimmering CVD coat that evokes the aurora borealis, the Lunar Chronograph Aurora features a chronograph, a moonphase display, and a date display along its circumference.

First launched in 1999, the Lunar Chronograph returns with a verdant guilloche dial. Lacquered Breguet Losange hands sweep over Breguet numerals.

Powered by the collection’s Caliber C.755 that packs a power reserve of 46 hours, this timepiece’s vivacious visage is contrasted by a 41mm polished steel case and dark gray nubuck leather.

Space Timer Gravity
Transparent rings, which are fashioned from the sophisticated composite ITR2 and themed on gravity, hover above the minute and date subdials of the Space Timer Gravity.
The right side of its dial has been guillochéd by hand, then CVD-coated, creating a dramatic gradient that glistens from green to blue. It’s an uncommon decorative technique that we’ve seen Chronoswiss incorporate into timepieces like its ReSec series.

The left side has been precision lasered, based on a NASA photograph, to mimic the surface of the moon.
These curious features are complemented by a titanium moonphase, openworked gear train, baby blue bridge, 44mm matte gray steel case and light gray nubuck leather strap.

Within beats the Chronoswiss Caliber C.308 with 42 hours of autonomy. This fascinating reimagination of the Lang-style Régulateur is limited to 50 pieces.
Both watches sport the partially knurled and curved “coin-edge” bezel, and Lang’s signature onion crown. Turn them over to admire their hand-finished plates and bridges.
