A Titanium Timepiece Dedicated to The Muppets’ Great Gonzo

Following the success of the Kermit (2023) and Miss Piggy (2025) editions, Oris debuted a kaleidoscopic wristwatch today, dedicated to Muppet-dom’s resident romantic, showman, and eternal optimist.

“It’s our job as product designers to bring (both seriousness and playfulness) across in our watches, knowing our clients love mechanics, too,” says Oris’s Head of Design, Lukas Bühlmann.

“(In all) three are ProPilot X models, the characters only appear for a specific, limited period.”

Gonzo’s likeness is delicately engraved onto the movement’s massive mainspring, revealing his face only when fully wound. A single chili pepper—a nod to Gonzo’s favorite patterned shirt—indicates how much is left of its 10-day power reserve.

“Gonzo is a self-proclaimed performance artiste, daredevil and weirdo… He’s best known for his blue fur color, but he’s also a style icon who loves mixing bold patterns like checked pants and a chili-pepper-print shirt!”

The skeletonized dial of this 44mm titanium piece bursts with shades of blue, red, and yellow, framed by a laser-textured dial ring that shifts dynamically under the light. Anchoring the vivid palette are classic Oris sword hands, coated with Super-LumiNova to ensure legibility. At 12.6mm thickness, it wears comfortably on the wrist, secured by a light, multi-link titanium bracelet with Oris’s patented “LIFT” clasp.

Delivered in a thematic wooden box, the Oris ProPilot X Gonzo Edition is retailing for CHF8,500.
