Introducing The J12 XS From Chanel

Chanel has launched the latest addition to its J12 family – the J12 XS – with a case measuring just 19 mm in diameter. The J12 XS made a fashionable entrance into stores just a few days after the September 1st arrival of the Monsieur de Chanel watch for men.
Contradictions and surprises have always been a forte of the Maison, and if Monsieur de Chanel, equipped with the first in-house movement, demonstrates the developments and ambitions of the brand’s Swiss Manufacture with the CALIBRE 1, the J12 XS is a tour de force that pays tribute to the Haute Fashion and Jewellery origins of the Paris-based House.

Why J12 “XS”? The new round 19 mm case, while extra small in size, is also excessively strong, made in high-tech ceramic and steel. A flange set with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds surrounds a lacquer dial on which we read the hours and minutes, making it extremely seductive. And as for the four versions available in boutiques, they are extremely surprising!
Highly versatile, the J12 XS is presented with: a black or white patent leather calfskin strap on a matching matte calfskin cuff with silver-toned edging, steel ardillon buckle and loops, to be worn with or without the cuff, priced at EUR4700;

a larger cuff version with six straps in black patent leather calfskin, steel ardillon buckles and seven steel loops set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds priced at EUR7900;
and, in a playful (and luxurious) reference to today’s head designer and creative director Karl Lagerfeld and his fingerless gloves, a black patent leather calfskin strap and pair of black lambskin Causse gloves with steel ardillon buckles and four steel loops set with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds, worn with or without the gloves. Several unique high jewellery pieces were also created, including this J12 XS Ring in black ceramic and 18K white gold, flange set with baguette-cut diamonds surrounding a black onyx dial, and 18K white gold crown set with a round facette diamond. EUR32000.

The J12 XS timepieces are equipped with a high-precision quartz movement.
