TAG Heuer is kicking off the week with some exciting news! The luxury watchmaker announced this afternoon that it has signed soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as TAG Heuer’s newest ambassador.

Ronaldo, who plays for Spanish soccer club Real Madrid and also serves as the captain of Portugal’s national soccer team, is a two-time winner of FIFA’s Ballon d’Or award for best player.
Prior to signing with TAG Heuer, Ronaldo was an ambassador for Jacob & Co. and, before that, Franck Muller.
Ronaldo commented on the new partnership, saying, “TAG Heuer is by far the best at what it does, and has been for more than 150 years. No other luxury brand has such strong ties to the highest levels of sports. It is incredibly glamorous yet also so unconventional, and we share exactly the same determination: to totally change the game, push the limits and make our own rules. It is a great honor to be a part of such a powerful and pioneering legacy.”
Meanwhile, TAG Heuer CEO Stéphane Linder added, “Every TAG Heuer creation celebrates intense life in the contemporary arena, and no individual represents this more powerfully than Cristiano. Ronaldo joins sports stars and celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Maria Sharapova and Jenson Button as a TAG Heuer ambassador.
