Close Up: Chanel Fine Jewelry “Sous le Signe du Lion”

Today we’re taking a close up look at the “Sous le Signe du Lion” collection from Chanel. The latest collection from the Fine Jewelry branch of the haute couture maison features the iconic Chanel lion.

Inspired by Coco Chanel's famous lion, this Fine Jewelry collection is a true show-stopper...

From its earliest days, Chanel has featured the lion throughout its collections (the symbol even took on gargantuan proportions during the maison’s Fall/Winter 2011 presentation, which was shown beneath a mammoth golden lion that reached the ceiling of the Grand Palais in Paris). The theme stems from founder Coco Chanel, who was not only a Leo but also held a lifelong love of Venice and its lion symbol.

The “Sous le Signe du Lion” collection is comprised of 58 pieces, but what caught our eye were, of course, the timepieces. Featuring diamonds, white gold, and platinum, this collection is a true show-stopper.
