Introducing the Renaud Tixier Monday Organica in Black and Bordeaux

An ingenious contribution to mechanical watchmaking from master watchmakers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier, the Monday timepiece evolved into the Monday Organica in September 2025—a transformation inspired by the undulating geometry of nature.

First rendered as a seven-piece limited edition in Blue, the Monday Organica collection has now expanded with the unveiling of the Black and Bordeaux editions, each strictly limited to seven examples as well.

Revisiting the Innovative Renaud Tixier “Dancer” Micro-Rotor

Conventional micro-rotors afford an unobstructed view of openworked movements, but they frequently suffer from poor winding efficiency due to low rotational mass and a vulnerability to physical shocks. The Renaud Tixier Monday solves this longstanding issue through its patented “Dancer” micro-rotor.

The mechanism integrates a platinum inertia wheel paired with a spring-loaded “heel” into the central axis of the winding system. Where standard rotors fail to generate kinetic force from low-amplitude wrist movements, such as typing on a keyboard, the Dancer successfully captures this subtle motion to wind the mainspring. Furthermore, when subjected to high impacts that could damage the arbor or disrupt energy transmission, the Dancer temporarily decouples the flywheel, allowing its spring to safely absorb the shock.

The Monday Organica in Black and Bordeaux

This new duo pairs a 950 platinum case with a Black Grand Feu enamel dial, and a 5N rose gold case with a Bordeaux Grand Feu enamel dial. Measuring 40.8 mm in diameter, the cases wear remarkably slim at 10.5 mm in height. The caseband, lugs, and dials are artfully decorated by Ateliers Olivier Vaucher using traditional métiers d’art, including hand engraving and hand chasing—a technique where steel punches displace metal to form intricate raised relief patterns.

Beneath the artistic dials beats the manufacture Calibre RVI2023. The movement features lightweight titanium bridges and a titanium balance cock, a gold-plated platinum Dancer micro-rotor, a platinum flywheel, and a hand-engraved, chased, and enameled barrel ratchet wheel plate. Completing the high-horology movement finishing are 187 painstakingly hand-beveled inward angles.

Offering a minimum 60-hour power reserve, both Renaud Tixier Monday Organica timepieces come fitted with hand-stitched Black Monroe calfskin straps, secured by white gold pin buckles.
