For months, anticipation surrounding the 50th anniversary of the Patek Philippe Nautilus has kept collectors on edge. Yet, seasoned enthusiasts know that Patek Philippe is rarely one for grandiose celebrations. While many brands mark milestones with elaborate complications, the Genevan manufacture tends to favor restraint.

The past offers a clear precedent. The 30th anniversary brought the Ref. 5980/1A, which was the Nautilus collection’s first chronograph, while the 40th was commemorated with the limited 5711/1P in platinum and Ref. 5976/1G in white gold. By that logic, many expected the golden jubilee to follow suit: discreet, historically grounded, and perhaps accented by a nostalgic “throwback blue dial”, as some VIP collectors quietly speculated.

They were not far off. To mark 50 years of the Nautilus, Patek Philippe unveiled three time-only limited editions rooted in the collection’s design codes and imbued with subtle historical significance. These were joined by a Nautilus desk clock, a hand-engraved automaton wristwatch, and the brand’s first wristwatch to display the times of sunrise and sunset.

Below is the full range of Patek Philippe’s Watches and Wonders 2026 novelties.

Ref. 5249R The Crow And The Fox

Patek Philippe’s first automaton wristwatch of the modern era is themed on a well-known Aesop Fable, which the maison made into a pocket watch in 1958.

When the pusher at 2 o’clock is pressed, the fox uses its head (for larger numbers) or paw (for smaller numbers) to point to the hours, and a piece of cheese falls from the crow’s beak to indicate the minutes.

These sculptures comprise 10 engraved appliqués in different shades of gold, and include a white gold star set with a diamond that revolves continuously. These intricately handcrafted surfaces including its solid gold base warrant 150 manhours.

Driven by the 31-260 PS HMD AU, the 43mm rose gold Ref. 5249R The Crow And The Fox is priced at CHF320,000.

Ref. 6105G Celestial Sunrise & Sunset

Derived from the Celestial collection that was first debuted at Baselworld 2002 through the Ref. 5102, the Ref. 6105G reels the admirer in with a view of the stars as seen from Geneva. Besides a multi-layered dial, a hand-finished night sky and a moon that changes phases, the Ref. 6105G also indicates sunrise and sunset times, a complication which is new to Patek Philippe and can be adjusted by pushers at the 9 and 10 o’clock positions

The date corrector is situated between 7 and 8 o’clock, while the crown at 2 o’clock adjusts the astronomical indications and the crown at 4 o’clock winds the watch.

Enabling these functions is the new self-winding caliber 240 C LU CL LCSO, which comprises six patents and is enthroned within a 47mm lug-less case.

The choice of omitting lugs from the Ref. 6105G and securing it to an integrated black composite strap renders it an uncommon aesthetic. It will retail for CHF350,000.

Ref. 5322G with 24-hour Alarm and Date

You might recall the 5520RG-001 Travel Time Alarm being momentarily listed on the Patek Philippe website as “discontinued” on February 1st, 2026. Well, its replacement is here: The Ref. 5322G arrives in a 41mm white gold case, sans the travel time function.

This debutant’s design is far removed from the outgoing model’s aesthetic—a grained gradient dial is paired with a hobnail guilloché caseband.

Nonetheless, the iconic bell-shaped aperture (indicating the alarm’s status) that interrupts the ‘12’ numeral has been retained, along with the alarm digit apertures and day/night indicator below it.

Powered by the automatic AL 30-660 S C, the ref. 5322G is available in green or blue with matching calfskin straps, comes with an additional beige calfskin strap each, and its price is set at CHF225,000.

Ref. 5270P Chronograph Perpetual

Patek Philippe unveiled its next generation of chronograph perpetual timepieces, which are available with red (Ref. 5270P-017), blue (Ref. 5270P-016) or gradient charcoal gray (Ref. 5270P-015) dial, each priced at CHF199,000.

The rich history of Patek Philippe’s perpetual calendar chronographs can be traced back to the Ref. 2499 of 1941—a feat of engineering where watchmakers compacted these two hefty complications into a 37mm+ case, way before computer-aided design.

While a rare yellow gold example of the Ref. 2499 will go under the hammer at the Phillips Hong Kong Watch Auction: XXII happening next month, it bears repeating that the Ref. 1518 perpetual calendar chronograph fetched an eye-watering US$17.6 million at the Phillips Decade One auction last November.

Ref. 5236P-011 In-Line Perpetual Calendar

Listed as “discontinued” for a hot minute on February 1st, the end of the blue dial and salmon dial Ref. 5236P’s productions have finally been confirmed.

From the ashes, this modern classic has re-emerged with a new ashen visage. Its blue and salmon dial predecessors that debuted in 2021 and 2024 respectively have been retired in favor of a new gradient silver dial model named the Ref. 5236P-011. The vaunted5236P displays day, date and month in a straight line—hence its name. Like its predecessors, the incoming 5236P-011 has a 41.3mm platinum case too, and is priced at CHF124,800.

Given their extremely short production runs, the blue 5236P-010 and salmon 5236P-001 will be hotly traded in the secondary market.

Both the outgoing model and the debutant sport rose gold dauphine hands and indices.

To mark this important anniversary, the manufacture has also reinterpreted the Ref. 4946, which was released in 2025, with denim-inspired details. Housed in a 38mm white gold case, the new Ref. 4946G sports an intriguing dial that has been both vertically and horizontally brushed to evoke the shimmer of shantung silk fabrics. It will go for CHF48,900.

Ref. 5374/400P-001

Shimmering with an almost Tiffany-like hue, the Ref. 5374/400P-001 is an extravagant endeavor in haute joaillerie and horlogerie. Brandishing both minute repeater and perpetual calendar complications, it is set with hundreds of baguette-cut diamonds and Paraiba tourmalines that wonderfully contrast its Balinese mother-of-pearl dial. Its 42mm platinum case houses the acclaimed caliber R 27 Q, which has been powering Patek Philippe grand complications since the brand’s 150th anniversary timepiece (Ref. 3974) of 1989.

Featuring a matching calfskin strap and the collection’s signature guilloché dial and lozenge hands, the Ref. 7129J carries a price tag of CHF46,000.

Nautilus 40th Anniversary Ref. 5810/1G-001, Ref. 5810G-001 and Ref. 5610/1P-001

Limited to 2,000 pieces, the Ref. 5810/1G-001 does away with seconds and complications to pay distinct homage to the original Nautilus Ref. 3700 of 1976. Even the date window, which furnished the 3 o’clock position of the Ref. 3700, has been left out in the name of pristine minimalism.

Pared down to the Nautilus’s quintessential design codes—embossed ribs, squared octagonal bezel, the ears, and H-link bracelet—the Ref. 5810/1G-001 measures 41mm in diameter and just 6.9mm in thickness, which is a welcomed upgrade from recent time-only Nautiluses that were around 8mm+ thick.

Coined by some as “the new Jumbo”, the Ref. 5810/1G-001’s dial possesses a vivid blue dial that, of course, pays tribute to the subtler blue hues of early icons like the Ref. 3700 and Ref. 3800.

Sporting the same dial color, the Ref. 5810G-001 is the diamond-set variant that is limited to 1,000 pieces and arrives on a composite fabric strap.

While the baton indices of the Ref. 5810/1G-001 are fashioned from white gold and coated with Super-LumiNova, those of the Ref. 5810G-001 are white gold set with baguette-cut diamonds.

The Ref. 5810/1G-001 is priced at CHF60,000, while the Ref. 5810G-001 will go for CHF75,000.

The platinum Ref. 5610/1P-001’s 38mm case size reminds us of how much we miss the Ref. 5800 “Mid-Size” that was discontinued in 2009. This anniversary novelty will retail for CHF90,000.

All three anniversary models are powered by a modern ultra-thin iteration of the caliber 240, which has been a pillar of Patek Philippe since 1977.

To commemorate the jubilee, the 22k gold rotor of the caliber 240 has been engraved with the inscription “50 1976 – 2026”.

The anniversary editions are accompanied by a white gold desk clock, which at 50.65mm can be likened to a pocket watch. Displaying small seconds, day, date and power reserve, it can be propped up on its hinge cover.

Replete with diamond indices, Ref. 958G-001’s manual winding 31-505 8J PS IRM CI J movement can store up to eight days of power in its two barrels. Limited to 100 examples, its asking price is CHF205,000.

Patek Philippe rounds off hearty celebrations by unveiling the Cubitus collection’s first grand complication. Sporting a large moonphase that has become characteristic of modern Patek Philippe timepieces, the Ref. 5840P-001 is powered by the Cubitus-shaped 28-28 Q SQU that was also developed based on the workhorse 240 movement.

The horizontal openworking of its dial and caseback grant sneak peeks at this new movement, and these slats are complemented by the navy blue of its patterned and stitched composite strap. Is this a cool caseback or what?
