How would Wolverine fare in a battle against the Hulk’s brawn and Magneto’s brains? One thing is for sure, he’ll need all the help he can get. And he may just get the edge thanks to the Richard Mille RM 011 Flyback Chronograph Yellow Storm.

Let’s face it. We couldn’t pair the coolest antihero in the Marvel universe with your grandfather’s vintage 38 mm dress watch. If Wolverine stepped into the Palexpo at SIHH, he’d be going straight for the Richard Mille booth.

Our man doesn’t hunt in packs, and we believe he’d appreciate the independent spirit and bravado of Mr. Mille, who managed to claw his way to the top of the watchmaking industry and make fans of all of us, despite the provocative designs he’s unearthed along the way. And on the surface, the Yellow Storm looks custom-made for Wolverine.

But don’t be fooled by the good looks. Inside is what counts, for both the watch and this wearer. The skeletonized automatic winding movement with adjustable rotor geometry is pure Richard Mille as is integration of a 60-minute countdown timer, 12-hour totalizer, annual calendar function, oversized date display, and flyback chronograph. It’s complex, possibly misunderstood, but the very few who are part his crew are sure of one thing; they’re in the winning team.

But let’s get back to the watch for a moment. It may not be made of adamantium, but the Flyback Chronograph Yellow Storm houses the very latest technology available. Crafted out of NTPT® (North Thin Ply Technology) carbon, the case, crown, and pushers are composed of more than 600 layers of parallel carbon fiber filaments, making them incredibly light and deceptively strong. That and it would resist any of Magneto’s pulling power.

The RM 011 Flyback Chronograph Yellow Storm is limited to just 50 pieces and available only at Richard Mille’s US boutiques. To check out the rest of our series, click on Hulk’s HYT H1 or Magneto’s Christophe Claret X-TREM-1
