Since their inception in 1962, the Rolling Stones have made headlines not only for their chart-topping albums, but also for their wild behavior and controversial drug use. Now, it has emerged that Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood not only had a penchant for illicit substances; he also loved luxury watches! Jo Wood, who was married to the famed guitarist for twenty-six years, has revealed that Ronnie Wood once borrowed money from his bandmates to cover his children’s school fees, only to spend it on a Rolex.

Jo Wood, now 57, divorced Ronnie Wood in 2011. In a recent interview with British newspaper the Daily Mail, she commented; “The cost of the drugs – not to mention some questionable decisions by our then manager – had left us skint [broke]. Ronnie had no concept of money. [Rolling Stones bandmate] Bill Wyman recently told me about the time Ronnie went to the guys in the band to ask for a loan, as we couldn’t pay the children’s school fees. After pocketing the cash he went straight out and bought himself a Rolex.” The former couple have two children together, Leah and Tyrone.
