What happens when you take the living space and lifestyle advantages of a 33-meter superyacht and fit them into a vessel that is 27 meters? It’s Wally’s latest motor yacht WHY200, a brainchild of chief designer Luca Bassani and the naval architecture from Laurent Giles NA in collaboration with Ferretti Group. The superyacht is set to debut at the Ferretti Group Private Preview in Monaco this September.

The futuristic-looking 27-meter superyacht has a few astonishing features that are a testament to marvellous planning and extraordinary design. The WHY200 provides up to 50% more living space than traditional yachts of its length without making the speed concessions of a displacement yacht.

The ground-breaking 398 sq ft. owner’s suite in the bow with amazing views thanks to the wraparound glass. The lower deck houses three of four double guest cabins (depending on the choice of layout option). The structural central carbon fibre staircase links the accommodation on the lower deck to the upper deck’s stunning glass-encased sky lounge. The yacht has three cabins for up to five crew members.

The WHY200 is the shipyard’s first hybrid yacht that enjoys interior design provided by A. Vallicelli & C Studio. The superyacht enjoys extraordinary al frescos on one side while the remaining three sides remain unobstructed to marvellous sea views. This extended overhang translates to a larger upper deck aft offer space to recline on sunloungers or sit at the shaded dining table. Through a large sliding door, guests make their way into Wally’s first enclosed bridge, encompassing the wheelhouse and sky lounge, which are stylishly encased in glass with a carbon superstructure that echoes the clean, angular aesthetic of the brand’s legendary Wallypower motor yachts. The superyacht can hold two garages can hold four tenders and numerous water toys.

Speaking about the new model, Wally managing director, Stefano de Vivo, said in a statement: “Through the WHY200, we are challenging preconceived notions of what a yacht should be and how it can be used. It is a platform that can be enjoyed by the whole family or groups of friends without compromise.”

Here are a few more images of this superyacht.
