Luxury watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has unveiled its newest marine chronometer for the seafarers among us. The new Marine Chronometer Manufacture Only Watch houses the Swiss brand’s iconic UN-118 caliber.

The new Marine Chronometer Manufacture Only Watch begins with a 43mm-diameter 18K rose gold bevelled case. The handcrafted enamel dial, produced by enamel specialist Donzé Cadrans (which is owned by Ulysse Nardin), features black Roman numerals and cherry red accents. The dial also features a 60-hour power reserve indicator, oversized small seconds register and a date display at 6 o’clock. At the heart of this timepiece is the UN-118 caliber, the cutting-edge self-winding base caliber conceived and executed entirely in-house at Ulysse Nardin. According to the manufacture, the new Marine Chronometer is the first member of a new family of movements housing an anchor escapement in DiamonSil, an alloy of diamond and silicon which Ulysse Nardin developed in collaboration with Sigatec. The Caliber UN-118 also features Ulysse Nardin’s own oscillator, its patented hairspring, and the manufacture’s “quick setting” which allows forward and backward date adjustments.

The Marine Chronometer Manufacture Only Watch is completed by a black leather strap.
