Ulysse Nardin have announced the creation of the Monaco Limited Edition timepiece to honor the company’s fourth consecutive year as official sponsors of the Monaco Yacht Show. The company will produce just 100 pieces of this limited edition design, and each watch will be individually numbered with an engraving on it’s 18 carat gold side plate.

The technical specs of the Monaco Limited Edition list a self-winding movement and a 42-hour power reserve, oversized small seconds and large date display. The 45.8 millimeters diameter stainless-steel casing will be treated with a unique vulcanization process, which creates a remarkable blue rubber coating that is equally comfortable and chic. The design of the Monaco Limited Edition highlights the mechanical beauty of the timepiece, with a case-back that reveals the self-winding movement mechanism. In a nod to the company’s nautical history, the strap and dial feature a wave pattern, while the hour markers, hour and minute hands will be made of a blue luminescent material that enhances underwater visibility. It goes without saying that the case is water-resistant, up to an astounding 200 meters, with sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating, a unidirectional rotating bezel and screwed crown.

The Monaco Limited Edition is just the latest addition to Ulysse Nardin’s Marine Diver collection. The luxury watchmakers have been intrinsically linked with the world of aquatic sports and marine navigation since the creation of the company 166 years ago. Their timepieces are renowned for their impeccably reliable marine chronometers, which transition flawlessly from the most extreme conditions underwater to an exclusive party on land.
