The new Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 will celebrate its world premiere at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show this month, forming part of the new generation of the Mercedes GLE class. The inventors of the performance SUV continue to bring a dynamic driving experience with vehicles unique in both design and innovation.

The GLE 53 features a 6-cylinder in-line engine which generates 429 hp, delivering a maximum torque of 384 lb-ft. The fully variable four-wheel drive vehicle is expected to deliver more power than the previous model. It has been carefully designed to offer those behind the wheel a controlled driving experience through its selectable performance exhaust system as well as the AMG steering wheel buttons.

With its radiator grille with 15 vertical strips, the GLE 53 is an unmistakable member of the AMG family. The model’s exterior exudes key design elements synonymous of power, sportiness, and exclusivity. The interior, with its distinctive red-colored accents, includes unique leather seat covers and aluminum brushed trim that create a sporty yet luxurious atmosphere.

Also worth mentioning is the GLE 53’s technology-forward operating system MBUX, which is standard for the model. It will include the voice-operated “Hey Mercedes” control system together with the optional Interior Assist which will allow the car to connect to its drivers and perform intuitive operations through gestures.

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 is expected to go on sale in the U.S. in late 2020.
