Last week at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, Cartier had something for everyone in their new collections for 2013. The luxury watchmakers unveiled Mysterious timepieces for the men, while their new animal-theme jeweled timepieces captured the hearts of ladies everywhere. Here, we have your first look:

The Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Hours timepiece begins with a 9981 MC movement, featuring a mystery hour and minute display. The display captures this watch’s namesake mystery with its hands that appear to be floating. The 42-mm diameter case is of 18K pink gold, with a beaded crown in 18K pink gold set with a sapphire cabochon, and a sapphire crystal case back. A brown alligator skin strap with a double-adjustable folding buckle in 18K pink gold completes the look.

The Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Double Tourbillon timepiece continues the sense of mystery, with the movement appearing to be freely suspended at the heart of this watch. The 45mm-diameter platinum case houses the Caliber 9454 MC movement, part of which can be glimpsed from the sapphire crystal case back, allowing watch lovers to admire the finish of its components. A beaded platinum crown set with a sapphire cabochon and a strap in black alligator skin with a double-adjustable folding buckle in 18K white gold completes the look. This timepiece also bears a certified Geneva Seal.

The Cartier Tortue Secret Watch allows the wearer to have both timepiece and jewelry. The time display appears and disappears unpredictably, hiding behind the exterior set with the exceptional stones we have come to associate with Cartier. The case is of rhodium-plated white gold, set with brilliant-cut diamonds and eyes of emeralds. The dial is silvered flinqué with a translucent lacquer, a brilliant-cut diamond marker, and hands in rhodium-plated steel. A strap of black brushed calfskin with a double-adjustable folding buckle in 18K white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds completes the look.

The Peacock Motif Watch continues the sense of beauty and mystery, combined. This timepiece can transform to play many roles; brooch, pendant, watch. The case is of rhodium-plated 18K white gold, set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The dial is rhodium-plated 18K white gold, decorated with mother-of-pearl marquetry, carved and enameled flowers in rhodium-coated 18K white gold, and a cascade of ornaments in rhodium-plated 18K white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds. A strap of white calfskin with a double-adjustable folding buckle in 18K white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds completes the look. Finally, the accompanying brooch is of 18K white gold, with the peacock done in 18K white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds and the eyes set with a sapphire. The flower is done in ruby crystal, with a leaf in carved nephrite jade.

The Cartier Panthère Divine Watch is both surprising and impressive, featuring the brand’s iconic big cat in all its commanding beauty. The case is of rhodium-plated white gold, set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The dial is of a deep, dark black brass with barleycorn guilloché and features hands in rhodium-plated steel. The panther is done in rhodium-plated 18K white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds and enamel spots. A strap of black brushed calfskin with a double-adjustable folding buckle in 18K white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds completes the look.
