The iconic house of Ralph Lauren has unveiled a new piece from its Watch collection. The Ralph Lauren 867 Diamond Watch is a high jewelry piece that pays tribute to the eclectic Art Deco era of the 1920s.

For this model the signature square case of timepieces from the 867 collection (named for the adress of Ralph Lauren’s flagship in New York City) is set with round and baguette-cut diamonds. The diamonds provide a striking contrast to the polished 18K white gold case, while the 18k white gold crown with a rose cut diamond balances both influences. The silver opaline dial features printed black Roman numerals and Arabic numbers, with shiny black Breguet-style hands.

At the heart of the 867 Diamond Watch is the 131-component RL430 mechanical manual winding movement, which is decorated with vertical Côtes de Genève and perlage (circular graining). A black suede strap adorned with diamond-pavé arabesque motifs and fitted with a diamond deco folding clasp completes the look.

Ralph Lauren commented on this new piece, “I have always been inspired by the design elements of the Art Deco era. For me, its bold geometric spirit and sophisticated modernity define a kind of glamour that is timeless and especially elegant when applied to the art of watchmaking.”
