Luxury car dealer Porsche announces a new timepiece available with the release of their brand new Porsche 911 GT3 model. Porsche Design has created a watch that is directly related to the new car called the Porsche 911 GT3 Chronograph. The timepiece takes after the car and according to Porsche “has transferred the thrill of high-performance racing into a chronograph with the same quality, design, and craftsmanship expected of all things Porsche.”

For the first time, customers can use the online Porsche Design watch configurator to individualize their watch to match their car. Every part of the watch, the case, watch straps, hands, bezel, and winding rotor, can all be adjusted within the configurator.

The dial color ring is available in black or Shark blue with the band being made from genuine Porche vehicle leather with “GT3” debossing and stitching in contrasting colors.

The timepiece’s movement is also derived from the motility of the car. The Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.200 with flyback function combines starting, stopping, and zeroing in a single operation. It is also COSC- certified which is a distinction only given to the most accurate of watches. The movement is powered by a custom winding rotor recreated from the design of the Porsche 911 GT3 wheels.

This watch is as customizable as the car, and the two can be in sync at all times due to the myriad of features available.

The Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3 will be available for owners of the new Porsche 911 GT3 in spring 2021 starting at $8,050 (RRP), and delivery takes eight to twelve weeks. More information about the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3 and the ordering process can be found here.
