In 2010, Panerai introduced a new material to watch design, Panerai Composite. The two new models in the Panerai collection released October 10th, PAM00504 and the PAM00505, are both crafted from this innovative substance that was previously used in aeronautics, automotive and motorcycle components. It is resistant to scratches and high temperatures guaranteeing a high performance while remaining lighter and harder than most ceramics used in watchmaking.

The Radiomir Composite 3 Days (PAM00504) measures 47mm and features gold hands, beige hour markers, and a cushion case in Panerai Composite, a deep brown. The movement is powered by the hand wound Caliber P.300, and is viewable through the clear burnished sapphire crystal caseback. The Radiomir Composite Black Seal 3-Days (PAM00505) measures 45mm and runs on a Caliber P.9000 automatic movement with a date feature at 3 o’clock. This model features Black Seal printed on the face, referencing the Italian Navy submarine commandos who used Panerai instruments and timepieces. The PAM00504 retails at 7.700 Euro, and the PAM00505 at 7.300 Euro. Both watches will be available in December.
