Omega company President Stephen Urqhart met with Fox Business’ Market Now team to discuss dressing James Bond and the implications for his brand. Daniel Craig is an ambassador for Omega. Urqhart spoke about Daniel Craig’s dual role with Omega as James Bond and as a brand ambassador in his own right. He went over the brand and Craig’s commitment to Flying Eye Hospital charity with Orbis, and discussed how Omega watches came to be the star of the James Bond feature films. Omega invests a set amount to promote film for ten weeks before opening and ten weeks at its end, and in return movie features Omega watches. The promotional strategy filters down to global sales, when fans see Daniel Craig, who personally owns Omega watches, and James Bond sporting the timepieces. Unfortunately, the Omega Skyfall available to consumers does not fire laser beams.
