Chronoswiss, based in Munich, has been bought by Swiss entrepreneur Oliver Ebstein and his wife Eva Maria. New to the watch industry, they have said that Chronoswiss will be owned by them privately, opposed to being ran through their investment company Meru AG. Wanting to continue in the tradition of using high-quality mechanical components, they are looking forward to working with all the employees to continue the success of Chronoswiss.

Former managing director of Chronoswiss, Peter Josef Burgmayer, will remain on board, as well as Gerd-Rüdiger Lang, while Sigrum Schilling-Heinen will not be continuing with the company. The watch industry will definitely be watching to see what the Swiss-run Chronoswiss will be creating in the years to come.
