Luxury watchmaker Maximilian Büsser & Friends has unveiled MEGAWIND, a re-engineered version of the iconic HM3 series. With a 22k gold and titanium winding rotor and the brand’s signature time indication cones, this is a truly unique timepiece.

At the heart of the MEGAWIND is a hand-finished inverted HM3 movement designed by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht (the winner of the inaugural award for Best Watchmaker at the 2007 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève). The asymmetrical case boasts two twin gold and sapphire crystal frustums displaying the hours in the left cone and minutes in the right cone. The winding rotor is shaped like a battle-axe shaped, while the high-tech titanium arms of the rotor reveal glimpses of the oscillating balance wheel as the revolve. Two large high-tech ceramic bearings, also visible through the display back, transmit the time up to the solid aluminum cones above. The case is completed by a rotor display crystal has a bevelled perimeter and bespoke clover-head gold screws with integrated lugs attaching the strap.

The MEGAWIND watch will be available in red gold with a 22k red gold rotor or white gold with a sky-blue 22k gold rotor.
