Louis Moinet received the  “Red dot: best of the best 2012” for its Geograph Rainforest timepiece. The international accolade is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the field of design. It also rewards products meeting the highest criteria in design quality, innovation and appeal.

Less than 10 watches have earned this award since the beginning of the Red Dot awards more than 60 years ago.

Geographic Rainforest is a two-pusher automatic chronograph with second time zone. It features two chronograph counter dials made from genuine fossilised palm wood, and for each watch sold, Louis Moinet make a substantial donation to the Pulau Banding Foundation, an organization aiming to preserve the Malaysian tropical forest of Belum-Temengor, one of the oldest in the world.
