“This visit to the company’s production facilities has impressed upon me the degree of pride, passion and commitment IWC’s specialists invest in their success,” Hamilton told us. “Only very gifted engineers and technicians with a total dedication to perfection could possibly develop watch movements at this level of precision and innovation. It’s the same passion that drives the development depart- ment of MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS to build the perfect FORMULA 1 car.”

According to the manufacture, Hamilton also had the chance to show off his skills! Hamilton got behind the wheel in a FORMULA 1 simulator, much to the delight of onlookers, and demonstrated the incredible driving which led him to victory in the FORMULA 1 MAGYAR NAGYDÍJ 2013 Grand Prix in Budapest, Hungary in July.

For a driver as passionate about his work as Lewis, team spirit, perfection and precise timing are as much a part of his professional ethos as they are for IWC’s watch specialists. We are proud to number him among our Friends of the Brand. His fascination with technology and passion for design make him the ideal ambassador.”
