On 15 August, about 250 exclusive guests and media from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and China were invited to the Civic Plaza at Ngee Ann City, in Singapore, for a historic launch. The largest pop-up watch boutique in the world was officially opened by Hublot this Saturday. Excitement was in the air as selected invitees witnessed the opening of the architectural feat, which is seven meters high and spreads over a vast area of 1,050 square meters. The Pop Up Store is open to public from 16-26 August, 2015.

“Hublot loves Singapore,” said Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot’s CEO. “With the help of our long-time partner and leading watch retailer, The Hour Glass, Hublot’s presence has stayed strong in Singapore for more than 30 years and we are honoured to be part of Singapore’s jubilation as we also celebrate our own success with the iconic Big Bang this year.”

The special guest star of the evening was actor Donnie Yen, from Hong Kong, who shone as the star of the award winning action movie IP Man. Together with foreign and local celebrities, who were in town to celebrate Hublot’s Big Bang 10th Anniversary, Yen officiated the opening of Hublot’s pop-up store.

Hublot distinguishes itself through the “Art of Fusion” philosophy, bringing tradition into the future. A perfect choice, Donnie Yen is the archetype of what Hublot stands, bridging traditional craft such as Wing Chun, a type of age-old martial arts with the contemporary presentation of filmmaking.

The pop-up also served as the launch-pad for a set of limited edition timepieces that are exclusive to Singapore through The Hour Glass, such as the Hublot “Red Dot” Bang in Hublonium and Yellow Gold and the Hublot Manufacture MP-05 La Ferrari Gold Jubilee featuring a yellow gold case set with 440 baguette-cut diamonds wort at least 13 carats. Established in 1979, The Hour Glass is the exclusive retailer of Hublot in South East Asia.
