Hublot Launches Smokin’ Hot Big Bang Unico Arturo Fuente Ceramic Limited Edition

Don Carlos Sr. was a titan in the cigar industry, taking his father’s modest business and building it further up to an empire. This has never been easy, as the US embargo of 1962 forced him to move production to Nicaragua. In 1978, Sandinista revolutionaries burned down the factory, causing the Fuente family to go to Honduras, where another fire ended the production there in 1980. Since then, they have found their place in the Dominican Republic, where Arturo Fuente grew to become one of the world’s most renowned and respected cigar brands.

Hublot pays tribute to this extraordinary example of determination with an equally exceptional watch. The Big Bang Unico Arturo Fuente Ceramic is limited to 100 pieces made entirely of black ceramic. The bezel and case show fine engravings of tobacco leaves. Unique for a Hublot is that this limited edition features Roman numerals. The inspiration for this came from the clock used in the crest of the Fuente family. Most fitting is their motto also: “We will never rush the hands of time.” The watch is powered by Hublot Caliber HUB1280, their automatic manufacture chronograph movement with a 72-hour power reserve. As could be expected will the Big Bang Unico Arturo Fuente Ceramic be delivered in a beautiful lacquered wooden box, including a cigar humidor.
