Hublot Celebrates Summer With Sky Blue Big Bang

The summer of 2020 looks for many people quite different than what they had imagined. Hublot is, however, determined to keep the summer vibes alive with their new Big Bang Unico Sky Blue.

The watch offers a vibrant color combination of sky blue with white in the familiar package of the 45mm large case of the Big Bang. Inside we find the UNICO manufacture movement with its flyback chronograph function and a generous power reserve of 72-hours. Its sky blue bezel and case are what sets this watch apart because they are made out of ceramic. Hublot is currently the only manufacture that is capable of making ceramic in vibrant colors like this sky blue. The difficulty of this is that ceramic is made at very high temperatures, which will burn up the color agents. Thanks to a patented process, Hublot has found a way around this and is now capable of making ceramic in almost every color imaginable.

While the Big Bang Unico Sky Blue is not a diving watch per se, it is still water-resistant up to 10 ATM. This comes from Hublot’s dedication to making its watches suitable to meet the active lifestyle of many of its clients. It comes with two straps, one made of white fabric, with a clasp in sky blue ceramic, and an additional strap from sky blue and white rubber. One can easily switch between the straps, or any other strap from Hublot’s collection, thanks to the One-Click system, where you only have to press a single button to release the strap and attach another one.
