It might seem like an unlikely partnership, but the collaboration between Swiss horologer Hublot and luxury shoemaker Berluti has created two exceptional timepieces that embody Hublot’s “Art of Fusion” philosophy.

“The Art of Fusion is a founding commitment of Hublot’s DNA,” said Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of HUblot. “It is a state of mind that guides all of our actions and our partnerships. With our partners, and in particular with the House of Berluti, we are all part of the same dynamic, united by a shared DNA: excellence, distinction and innovation.”

The two watches – Classic Fusion Tourbillon Berluti Scritto King Gold and Classic Fusion Tourbillon Scritto All Black – received their official unveiling at the grand setting of Hôtel d’Evreux in Paris. Limited to 20 pieces each, the watches boast 45mm cases, one in King Gold and the other in polished black ceramic, and leather dials embossed with Berluti’s signature Scritto motif. An aperture at 6 o’clock reveals the manual-winding skeleton tourbillon that Hublot manufactured in-house.

Resting on straps that blend black rubber and Genuine Brown Berluti patinated Venezia leather, the timepieces come in bespoke Berluti boxes that also contain a full range of the shoemaker’s polish.

“By combining our savoir-faire and creativity, we have once again achieved our goal: the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Berluti is a model of fusion between the fine shoemaking of Berluti and the fine watchmaking of Hublot,” said Antoine Pin, Executive Vice-President of Berluti.

Some 180 prominent guests celebrated the launch of the watches at Place Vendôme, home to Hublot’s Parisian boutique, before heading to Hôtel d’Evreux for spectacular dinner entertainment. Among the attendees were Alexander Levy, French golf champion and friend of Hublot, French tennis player Julien Benneteau, famed Lebanese stylist and couturier Rabih Kayrouz and acclaimed chef Yannick Alléno.
