With the America’s Cup Final set to kick off this weekend, today we’re taking a close up look at a seaworthy timepiece; the Seamaster Diver Emirates Team New Zealand by Omega. The luxury watchmaker has long supported the Emirates Team New Zealand (ETNZ), and this limited edition timepiece celebrates ETNZ’s campaign to claim the Cup this year.

The Seamaster Diver Emirates Team New Zealand begins with a 44 mm polished and brushed stainless steel case with a matte black ceramic bezel ring. The dial is also matte black, encircled by a red seconds track, with skeletonized central hour and minute hands. A small seconds sub-dial is featured at 9 o’clock, and a 12-hour chronograph recorder with a red hand is featured at 6 o’clock, just above the date window. The Seamaster ENTZ has a central chronograph seconds hand, as well as a 30-minute chronograph recorder at 3 o’clock (with a red hand and a distinctive red ring marked with a scale that indicates the five-minute countdown to the start of a regatta).

The screw-in caseback features an embossed “ETNZ” logo, while the limited edition number (0000/2013) and “CHALLENGER FOR THE 34TH AMERICA’S CUP” are engraved around the outside of the caseback. The Seamaster Diver Emirates Team New Zealand is completed by a black rubber strap, and is delivered with a stainless steel extendable divers’ bracelet.
