The Embraer Legacy 500 was officially launched at EBACE in 2008, along with a smaller aircraft, the Legacy 450. It was built at Embraer’s manufacturing headquarters near Sao Paolo, Brazil. While the 500 was in Florida earlier this year, Embraer took the opportunity to conduct cold-weather testing at Eglin Air Force Base’s climate chamber, where the Legacy 500 passed all checks.

Adding a tourbillon to the Pilot Montre d’Aéronef Type 20 in no way detracts from the model’s aviator-watch aesthetic; rather, it enhances it. The onion crown, super-large, highly luminated hands and numerals (actually made of super-LumiNova), extra row of stitching along the strap attachment all identify this as a pilot’s watch.

The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) will make its inaugural visit to Dubai this October where it will showcase a stunning array of timepieces.Presented by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, this is the first time that the GPHG exhibition will be coming to the Middle East as part of its international tour. The show will be hosted at Cuadro Fine Art Gallery in DIFC and will be on view on 23 and 24 October.
