The commandos preferred to wear their watches on the right wrist, because they wore their compasses and depth gauges on their left, so the winding crown and protector covering it are located on the left side of the 47mm case. The cambered crystal over the dial is another historic feature of the watch, as is the structure of the “sandwich” dial itself, which is made of two plates enclosing a luminous substance, visible through holes cut in the upper plate for numerals and indexes. The transparent back shows the hand-wound P.2004/9 Caliber, with an 8-day power reserve. It has a zero-seconds hand, which stops and zeroes the small seconds hand instantly when the crown is pulled out. This enables the watch to be synchronized to the exact second. The case is made of lightweight titanium.Pam579_Cat_Dett03_B#
