Today’s Haute Time Watch of the Day is The DualTow by Christophe Claret. From The Extreme Watches Collection, comes this revolutionary design which has gained its inspiration from the fluidity of an excavator’s caterpillar tread, featuring rubber belts powered by cylinders with a design element inspired by the spoked wheel rims of a vintage Bugatti T35.

Powered by a CC20A hand-wound movement with 60 hours power reserve, the DualTow features twin parallel barrels and tourbillon. Functions of this timepiece include hour and minute displays on the belts, a single pusher planetary-gear chronograph, a mechanical striking mechanism which sounds at the start and finish of each function, a 12 hour, 60 minute and 60 second chronograph counter, operating mode indicator and power reserve display. The display belts show the hours and minutes, the flange shows 5 second markers which are cut from 5 different stones.

The case, measuring 42.75 x 48.20mm, is shown here in rose gold, and boasts a rectangular shape with moving lugs that enhance the fit of the timepiece on the wrist. Fitted with a rubber strap with a triple-blade folding clasp with decorative covers and a specially designed system which enables an additional 10mm wrist extension.

The DualTow is part of a Limited edition collection of 68 timepieces offered by Christophe Claret.
